Emergency Response

In case of an emergency, students, faculty and staff are instructed to first get to a safe place and contact the appropriate local authorities.

STUDENT SAFETY
Safety abroad is of primary importance to the Office of International Education. While we cannot guarantee the safety of those traveling abroad, we do provide additional tools for prevention and resources to use in the case of an incident abroad.

REPORT AN INCIDENT
If an incident of any level occurs abroad, it should be reported to the OIE using the Incident Report Form.

Important note: Any information submitted via this form will be reported to the Marquette University Police Department, per the following state and federal laws:
  • Wisconsin Statute § 940.34, a state law;
  • The Clery Act (Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act), a federal law; and
  • Title IX (of the Education Amendments of 1972), a federal law.
Information will be kept confidential as allowed by law.
